Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Finlat, LLC dba TradeYourClubs ("TradeYourClubs," "TYC," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our mobile apps and website at tradeyourclubs.com (together, the "Services"). It covers two apps:

TYC Golf — a consumer app that lets golfers sell or trade in their own clubs for cash or store credit.
TYC Partner — a business tool used by staff at partner retail stores to record golf-equipment trade-ins that TradeYourClubs purchases.

The short version. We collect the information you provide to sell or record a trade-in, plus the account details needed to sign in and pay you. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or third-party tracking.

Information we collect

When you use TYC Golf (consumers)

Account information. Your name and email address when you create an account.
Contact & shipping details. Your phone number and mailing address, used to generate prepaid shipping labels and to reach you about your trade.
Trade-in details. Information about the clubs you submit — brand, model, category, condition, and any notes — and photos of your clubs.
Payout information. The payout method and details you choose (for example a Venmo, PayPal, CashApp, or Zelle handle, or bank details for ACH), used only to pay you for accepted trades.
Messages. Messages you send us through in-app chat or to our support email.
Notifications. A device push token so we can notify you about your trade's progress.

When you use TYC Partner (store staff)

Account information. The name, email address, and role of authorized store staff, and the store they belong to.
Store information. Partner store name, address, primary contact, contact email, and phone number.
Trade-in details. Category, brand, model, specifications, condition, estimated value, and the store-credit offer amount.
Photos. Photos of the traded-in equipment.
Customer acceptance. A signature captured on-device to record that the customer accepted the store-credit offer.

Our apps access your device's camera and photo library only to attach photos to a trade-in, and only when you choose to add a photo. We do not collect your device location, contacts, or browsing activity, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

How we use information

To create accounts and authenticate users.
To review submitted clubs and provide cash and store-credit offers.
To generate prepaid shipping labels and arrange shipment and inspection (TYC Golf), or to arrange pickup and settle payment with partner stores (TYC Partner).
To pay you for accepted trades and manage store-credit balances.
To send notifications and updates about your trades.
To provide customer support and respond to your messages.
To detect and prevent fraud and abuse, and to operate and improve the Services.

How information is stored and secured

Information you enter is stored using Supabase, our third-party cloud hosting and database provider, on our behalf. Access is restricted so that customers see only their own trades and store staff see only their own store's trades, while TradeYourClubs administrators can see records across the service in order to operate it. We use industry-standard measures to protect information in transit and at rest.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

With service providers that operate the Services on our behalf — including Supabase (hosting/database), Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications for TYC Golf), and Shippo and its carriers (prepaid shipping labels for TYC Golf).
With payment recipients — when you choose a cash payout, we use the payout details you provide to send your payment.
When required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
In connection with a business transfer, subject to this Privacy Policy.

Data retention

We keep trade-in and account records for as long as needed to operate the service, complete trades, meet our business, tax, and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account as described below.

Your choices and rights

You can view and update your profile information in the app. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and personal information by emailing us at support@tradeyourclubs.com. You can turn off push notifications in your device settings. Some records may be retained where required to document completed trades or to meet legal obligations.

Children's privacy

The Services are intended for users 18 and older and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
